Director and CEO - Dr. Ainsley Deer

Dr. Ainsley Deer is a leading trainer, motivational speaker, researcher and international management consultant. Companies and Associates in several countries have profited from his business acumen.

He is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Training Dynamics and Consultants Limited (TD&C) and Deer Consulting Services (DCS), which operate in the English-speaking Caribbean and North America. In this capacity, he custom designs and delivers speeches, seminars and consulting services in diverse areas such as Change Management, Psychological Assessment, Leadership, Employee Development, Performance Management, Service Excellence, Motivation, Stress Management, Strategy Development, Sales Management, Customer Care and Teambuilding. He has had over 20 years’ professional experience as a management consultant, having conducted major assignments for several leading client organizations in the private and public sector.

Ainsley Deer was responsible for the introduction of psychometric testing to the English-speaking Caribbean in 1992.  Through the expertise offered by TD&C and DCS, employers are realizing the benefits of using assessment tools in creating a stable and effective work-force.

Ainsley Deer was the first Jamaican to gain membership in the prestigious, internationally renowned Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA). He also holds membership in the British Psychological Society.

Ainsley Deer is an Employee Assistance/Staff wellness services provider for several leading multinational organizations including Johnson & Johnson, Fed Ex, ADM (Jamaica Flour Mills), British Airways, Yellow Pages (Global Directories), Inter-America Development Bank (IDB),  City of Kingston Co-op Credit Union (COK) and FLOW (Columbus Communications Jamaica Ltd.).

As an accomplished writer, he has contributed his thought-provoking articles to several magazines and newspapers and was featured twice on British television.  As a researcher/behavioral scientist, he was part of a two-man research team who discovered South American trypanosomiasis (an incurable heart disease in humans) in Jamaica.

He has lectured at Oldham College of Advanced Technology, Lancashire, England, the University of The West Indies, Mona campus and HEART Trust/NTA Vocational Training Development Institute.  He also worked with the City of Nottingham Education Committee, England and with the British Broadcasting Corporation.

He attended the University of Nottingham and Salford University in the United Kingdom.

In addition to the MPhil and PhD in Occupational Psychology, he also holds a Masters Degree in Medical Parasitology from Salford University.

His hobbies include tae kwon do, jogging, swimming and playing the guitar.
